CLIVE KELLY

Clive’s interest in computers began back in the ’80s with the purchase of a Commodore 64. It enabled him to word process a welcome letter and newsletters, mail-merge with a database of customers, print envelopes and send to clients via Australia Post, during his role as sales manager for a motor dealership.

He wasn’t so much interested in computers as the solutions they could provide. In 1994 Clive acquired the distributorship of Maxicom Voice Control, a PC-based Voicemail, and Auto-Attendant system that interfaced with a PBX. Early adopters included Mainbrace Construction, Sun Sail, and Orix to name a few.

His introduction to voice communication over the internet came in 1998 using a 56k modem and a headset, while he was national sales manager for Dynalink Modems (now Netcomm Wireless). He could see that this was the future of telecommunications! The seeds for Cybertel Telecom were sown.
